22. • First Union Budget of Newly Formed NDA Government after the 16th Lok Sabha Elections held in Apr - May, 2014.
    • The Budget presented by Arun Jaitley, the Union Finance Minister.
    • Total estimated Expenditures - 17, 94, 892 Crore Rupees (12,19,892 Non Planned and 5,75,000 Crores Planned).
    • GDP Growth Rate Targeted at 5.7 % in 2014 - 15,
    • Fiscal Deficit Targets (As Percent of GDP) - 2014 - 15 -> 4.1 %, 2015 - 16 -> 3.6 %, 2016 - 17 -> 3 %,
    • FDI in Defence and Insurance has been Hiked to 49 %.
    • Expenditure Management Commission (EMC) is to be constituted to look into various aspects of expenditure reforms to be undertaken by the Government.
    • A Sum of 240000 Crore to be infused into banks by 2018 by increasing shareholding in banks by general Public.

• Rs. 50,548 Crore allocated for SC & 32, 387 Crores for TSP Categories.
• Van Bandhu Kalyan Yojana to be started for welfare of Tribal People with allocation of Rs. 100 Crore.

  • Rs. 8 Lakh Crore Agricultural Credit Target in 2014 - 15.

  • Rs. 1000 for One Rank One Pension Scheme.
  • Rs 100 Crore for Technology Development fund for Defence.

• Health
  • Health for all Program to be started for free Diagnostics and Drugs Service.
  • Four new AIIMS will be in AP, West Bengal, Vidarbha (Maharashtra) and Purvanchal (Uttar Pradesh) with sum of Rs. 500 crore.
  • 12 New Government medical Colleges to be set up, 15 Model Rural Health Research Centres for research in Rural Health Issues.
